At Zax Amusements, our service team and workshop facilities are first class. We are well placed to care for all your amusement equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, refurbishment, repairs, and testing as required. Our workshop rates are charged at $140 +gst per hour, in 15 minute time blocks.

Zax Amusements asks, in order to streamline your repair service, that you do not send or drop off any items to Zax Amusements without first contacting our support email service@zax.com.au to determine exactly what parts or components may be required to best facilitate the repair, and that we are also ABLE to accept the repair in the first place. Any items received by Zax Amusements that are not accompanied by an officially issued RMA number, will not be inwards processed until the customer takes the necessary steps to obtain this number. This is why we would like to stress that you ensure you have the RMA number in place first before having any equipment come to us, in order to facilitate an efficient an speedy service.

To access these services, and quickly attend to your request, we follow these simple steps:

First fully complete this Online Repair Request Form.
Once you have received confirmation that Zax Amusements can accept the repair, please arrange any pre-payment of any advised assessment charges, and then send your item(s) to us with the returned RMA authorisation number attached to the exterior of the packaging. See below for more details.
Note that generally speaking, each “repair item” is booked in as a separate repair task. For more details see below.
After the items are received, booked in, and assessed, we will advise an estimated repair completion cost. If you agree to the works, we will complete the repair, and after the invoice is paid, return the item to you.

There is an assessment charge payable for each repair item before any works can be undertaken for non-term accounts. A “repair item” is generally considered to be a single main PCB or main kit component(s) of an individual machine or system. Dependent on the quantity and complexity of each repair item, it will determine how much of the $140 +gst assessment charge is payable per unit. This amount will be advised when confirming that we can accept the repair, along with the RMA authorisation number.

After you have received our confirmation, please ensure to include the provided RMA number on a note with the item(s) inside the packaging, and also clearly mark the RMA number on the exterior of the packaging. We ask that you also include the RMA number in the COMMENTS section of your freight connote. We also ask that you go to the RMA Returns Tracking Form, and submit the tracking number, carrier info, and the direct URL link to the carriers item tracking page.

To further clarify how we quantify individual repair items, as an example, a 4-layer PCB stack from a Daytona machine, (even though it is multiple PCBs stacked), would still be considered a single repair item, whereas two 4-layer PCB stacks from a Daytona twin machine would be considered two separate repair items.

In another example, a Street Fighter 4 PC with separate looming, and separate I/O board whilst being physically separate parts, would still be considered a single repair item.

Zax Amusements takes a fair and ‘common sense’ approach as to what constitutes an individual repair item when booking repair tasks into our system. As previously mentioned Zax will advise of how your repairs will be booked into the system when advising acceptance of the repair, the RMA number, and the amount of the assessment charge to be paid for each one. Note that this charge will be offset against any costs incurred in the processing of the item’s repair request at final invoicing.

If you are not an account customer, we will contact the listed Authorised Representative to obtain payment prior to starting work. (Please note fees for credit cards apply).

Please note that freight costs are not included in warranty services, outside of any special cases or specific circumstances. This will be determined during the initial discussion phase. Also, please note that if an item is sent in for warranty assessment without first discussion, or direction from Zax Service Department to do so, and no fault is found, then labour charges may apply, regardless of warranty status.
