ZAX Amusements provides the following warranties:

NEW EQUIPMENT
180 DAY EQUIPMENT WARRANTY
Our 180-Day New Product Warranty covers telephone diagnosis, parts and repair on most problems you may experience on all products we sell for the first 180 days after the purchase is received by you with these specific exceptions:
Product and/or product parts found to be defective must be shipped or brought back to our shop at customer's expense for any warranty work to be performed, or customer can elect for us to provide on-site repair work at the customer's location, with customer picking up all travel costs.
All warranty work performed at our location is performed at our expense (parts and labour).
Customer is responsible for shipping of the game or game parts, and setup or reinstallation of parts once warranty work is completed. We cannot be held responsible for damage to game due to improper installation and/or usage.
All warranty claims are "back to base" which means that if a customer purchases a product from Zax Amusements and it fails during the warranty period, the customer will need to return the goods or faulty item back to Zax (at customer’s cost) - Zax will then repair/replace with new. Customer can elect for us to provide on-site repair work at the customer's location, with customer picking up all costs of the technician to travel to & from their location. Note: This option may not always be available depending on customer’s geographic location. All warranty work performed at customer’s location is performed at Zax expense (parts and labour only).
Please note that most products also come with a separate Original Manufacturer's Warranty.
While some of our customers enjoy repairing their products themselves, all warranty work must be performed by us or our agents, and the work to be performed must be approved by us first. The warranty does not cover any expense or work performed by you or any other game repair person/company unless approved in writing by Zax Amusements. Zax Amusements is not responsible for the costs of repairs if any work is performed on the product by you or by another repair person/company. Unauthorised warranty repairs will void your warranty.
Our 180-Day New Product Warranty does not cover the following:
- Glass breakage.
- Monitor adjustments
- Product abuse or misuse
- Product cleaning and/or routine maintenance
- Physical or cosmetic damage whatsoever to the product
- Stuck or jammed coin mechanisms caused by improper usage
- Damage incurred from moving, shipping, or working on products
- Damage incurred by normal wear-and-tear/non-standard gameplay.
- Damage caused by acts of God; weather, water, lightning or electrical damage, or damage due to extreme heat or cold.
- Damage caused by unauthorized repair work to the product or by the installation of any parts or upgrades on products, other than as directed or approved by Zax Amusements or its agents in advance of such work or repair.
- Shipping costs to or travel-related costs to or from your location to service the product (where available) from our shop for warranty work to be performed, unless covered by an extended warranty.
- Any product damage incurred during shipping/transit to and from ZAX Amusements or our agents.
- Any product sold "as-is", as a "project game" or "less than perfect" that is not optionally refurbished (these games do not come with a warranty)
- Freight costs of New Parts or New Products under warranty unless the new part or product is qualified as Dead on Arrival (DOA)
This warranty will become null and void if:
- Anyone besides Zax Amusements or its agents or representatives performs or attempts any repairs or modifications to the product unless authorized first by us.
- Product is dropped, knocked over, abused, or otherwise physically damaged while at your location or during any transportation or shipping to or from our location.
- Product is exposed to the elements ie: placed outdoors, in direct sun, rain, cold, heat or placed in a humid area (such as around/near hot tub, swimming pool, etc.)
- Product is altered, modified, or customized either electronically, mechanically, or cosmetically in any way, shape, or form
ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY
Most of our new products are also additionally covered by the original manufacturer's warranty.

Please note: to claim the manufacturer's warranty on an internationally sourced machine, the buyer must be aware that freight charges taxes, duties, etc, both to and returning from the supplier or original manufacturer, are usually not covered (unless the supplier or manufacturer agrees to cover these charges).
90 DAY USED & REFURBISHED PRODUCT WARRANTY
Our 90-Day Used and Refurbished Warranty covers telephone diagnosis and repair, parts and in-house labour on any problem that you might have with all refurbished products (see below for exceptions) for the first 90 days after the purchase is received by you, with these specific exceptions:
Product and/or product parts found to be defective must be shipped or brought back to our shop at the customer's expense for any warranty work to be performed, or the customer can elect for us to provide on-site repair work at the customer's location, with customer picking up all travel costs. Note: This option may not always be available depending on customer’s geographic location. All warranty work performed at our location is performed at our expense (parts and labour). The customer is responsible for shipping the game or game parts, and setup or reinstallation of parts after warranty work is finished. - Product is altered, modified, or customized either electronically, Mechanically, or cosmetically in any way, shape, or form
PINBALL LIMITED WARRANTY
New Pinball Machines – One (1) year Warranty
The following limited warranty covers parts listed below on new Stern Pinball machines and are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for their intended purpose and in accordance with product instructions and manuals for one (1) year from the date of purchase of the pinball machine by the original end-user purchaser from an authorized Stern Pinball reseller:
- Printed circuit boards (CPU, Node boards, LED boards, Optical Sensors).
- LCD display.
- Power supply.
- Backbox.
- Pinball machine legs.
This limited warranty:
- applies only to the original buyer of the Stern Pinball machine from ZAX Amusements. The warranty is not transferable.
- It covers machines used at home for personal use and machines used in commercial settings (excluding Home Edition models for Commercial settings)
- The warranty is valid only in the country where the machine was originally sold.
Our one (1) Year New Stern Pinball Machine Limited Warranty does not cover the following:
- Commercial use of Stern Pinball’s Home Edition model pinball machine.
- Use inconsistent with product instructions and manuals.
- Consumable parts (e.g., playfield decals, rubbers, pinballs, runner rings, globes/lamps, fuses) and coils, coil sleeves, micro switches, switches, targets, plastic buttons, wiring harnesses, glass, locks, plastic playfield parts, wire ramps and external mouldings).
- Defects or damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, alteration, fire, floods, acts of God, improper installation or repair, or use with non-genuine Stern Pinball parts or accessories.
- Cosmetic variations in parts, including wood, that do not affect the playability of the pinball machine.
- Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents, chips, and other damages to the finish of the pinball machine) unless such damage results from defects in materials and workmanship and is promptly reported to Stern Pinball.
- Parts damaged due to improper handling, installation, usage or alteration.
- Shipping or handling damage
- Alterations or modifications to a pinball machine, or any of its parts, not undertaken or authorized by Stern Pinball.
- Electronics unplugged while powered on.
- Monitor adjustments
- Product cleaning and/or routine maintenance
- Stuck or jammed coin mechanisms caused by improper usage
- Damage incurred by normal wear-and-tear/non-standard gameplay.
- Damage caused by unauthorized repair work to the product or by the installation of any parts or upgrades on products, other than as directed or approved by Zax Amusements or its agents in advance of such work or repair.
- Shipping costs to or travel-related costs to or from your location to service the product (where available) from our shop for warranty work to be performed
- Freight costs of New Parts or New/Used Pinballs under warranty unless the new part or product is qualified as Dead on Arrival (DOA)

- A customer does not permit Zax Amusements to facilitate pre-despatch testing of new Pinball machines (unbox, inspect, test).
- Anyone besides Zax Amusements or its agents or representatives performs or attempts any repairs or modifications to the product unless authorized first by us.
- Product is dropped, knocked over, abused, or otherwise physically damaged while at your location or during any transportation or shipping to or from our location.
- Product is exposed to the elements ie: placed outdoors, in direct sun, rain, cold, heat or placed in a humid area (such as around/near hot tub, swimming pool, etc.)
- Product is altered, modified, or customized either electronically, mechanically, or cosmetically in any way, shape, or form
Used Pinball Machines over $3,000 – 90 days on major electronic components; Circuit Boards, Power Supplies, Transformers, Electronic Coin Mechanisms, Dot Matrix / LCD Displays.
Used Pinball $1,500 - $3,000 - 30 Days on Circuit Boards only (No other components covered)
Product and/or product parts found to be defective must be shipped or brought back to our shop at customer's expense for any warranty work to be performed (back to base), or customer can elect for us to provide on-site repair work at the customer's location, with customer picking up all costs of the technician to travel to & from their location. Pinball Decals
Claims for damaged decals or stickers on new pinball machines require authorization from Stern Pinball for replacement supplies. If decals are damaged from the factory, we will issue a claim on your behalf. Replacement stickers may take some time to arrive, sometimes several months after the machines have been supplied. Consequently, we do not hold customer machines at Zax Amusements awaiting decals. Replacement decals will be posted to you upon arrival at Zax Amusement’s expense; re-installation of decals is not included in the warranty.
Due to everyday wear and tear, pinball decals can be prone to fading or damage over time. We highly recommend not fitting replacement decals unless they are severely damaged. Instead, store any replacement decals in a cool, dry place for future use. This way, you will always be able to restore the machine to its original appearance. When it’s time to sell or trade in your machine, you can offer the new decal as part of the deal.

There will be no warranty where:
- The damage is caused by repair work carried out by an unauthorized person
- The purchase price of a dedicated machine is below $2,000
- The purchase price of a pinball machine is under $1,500
- The purchase price of a PCB is under $500
- A customer purchases second-hand components, e.g. Power supplies, coin mechanism, monitors.
Note: Australian Consumer Law Statement: The consumer guarantees will only apply to direct to “consumer” sales or to business-to-business transactions when your business acquires goods or services as a “consumer.” Definition of a “Consumer” is a person or business that buys goods or services for personal or household use. In this case, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
